Good day all. I'm getting the following when trying to install Vegas Pro17 on new laptop:

ERROR: -2147163964 occurred during installation.

Module C:\Program Files (x86)\Vegas\Shared Plug-Ins\Audio_x64\sfppack1_x64.dll failed

to register. HRESULT -2147010895. Contact support

@Greg-Warren  It seems that audio plugin is creating the problem. Is that file (sfppack1_x64.dll) already installed on that location, or is Vegas Pro 17 is trying to install it?

If the file already exists on that location, then copy the file into a safe place, then delete it from that location ( C:\Program Files (x86)\Vegas\Shared Plug-Ins\Audio_x64\) and try installing Vegas Pro 17.
