install error

Hi,
I tried to update my Vegas software to 9.E and received the following error;
"Microsoft WMF 11 Redist for MTP, Windows media and audio support- Requirements not met"
and the install shut down.
any ideas?
I'm running Windows XP SP2

Just a thought, make sure you have all the current Windows Updates. I may skip XP SP3 for now, but get all the others, might help.
