Installed Platinum 7, can I uninstall 6?

I upgraded to 7, is it safe to uninstall 6 and save some drive space?

Yes.

Very very rarely, some people have reported losing some plugins in the new version when uninstalling the old one. If this happens then simply install the new version again.
