Intel 13th and 14th gen CPU issues

I have no "dog" in this fight. But when I watch several noted Youtubers in the tech industry talk about the issues with 13th and 14th gen i9's affect both gaming and content creation, there is a problem.

If you have experienced crashes with those CPU's, it might not be "you" but the CPU itself.

Especially with the 14th gen, some significant conflicts existed in our use of some Main Concept codecs. We have updated some of the most recent versions of VEGAS Pro with new versions of the Main Concept codecs so they work properly with these new Intel chips.

I would not say necessarily that the problem is due to the new Intel CPUs, but rather with app developers fixing some of their internal code to correctly support the changes present in the CPUs.

and have reported on this issue. Level1 from a server side of things. Tech Yes mentioned specifically the issues he had with content creation. I'm just curious as to whether this also translates to the lower tier CPU's. I personally tend to stay with more powerful CPU's and midrange GPU's.

I also watched these videos and read articles with interest. It seems like even server motherboards and non-overclocked i9 CPUs degraded over a short period of time and became unreliable for unknown reasons.

I haven't yet seen reports of issues with i5 (and not really i7 either), but am watching with interest. I wonder if mobile chips are also affected.

FWIW my overclocked 13th generation i5 has been stable with VEGAS and everything else I do.
