I bought an Intel-branded SSD a few weeks ago to use as my boot drive for Win 7. It was the best decision I made (among many dumb ones)

This is a 1st generation Intel SSD, so the write access times are no better than a good mechanical hard drive. It is a great deal, if you are just looking for a small boot drive, though.
