your setup is all about hardware, and drivers...not about VegasPro. Visit the appropriate forum at BlackMagic Design.

I talk to the support of blackmagic and they said me that don't test sony vegas with blackmagic.
so i try to find a user of Sony vegas that test it...

of course they tell you that...visit the BlackMagic Design Forum - not the service center - it is a user friendly place not controlled by the company.
BMD has not supported VegasPro since Version 9.0 release - hence your interaction with VegasPro is going to be difficult, perhaps NOT doable.

The problem is your hardware lashup - don't overly fret about VegasPro use.

You need to
a) have the latest drivers for the Intensity Pro, from the BlackMagic website.
b) select the Intensity pro as the preview output device within the preview window settings
c) Turn on (or off, your preference) having the preview output to the preview window at the same time as to the preview device - again, in the settings.

It works for me with Vegas Pro 13 build 428 but it can be a bit unstable and cause Vegas to crash so save your work. I tend to use the output only for final playback rather than when I'm editing.

Regards
Dave

+1 dj - unstable in my vegas 13 system also, leading to preview freezing (not crashing).

if anyone wants it, $100 + postage ;-)

i have the intensity shuttle, which is the usb version of the pro.

it's plugged into an x58 msi motherboard, with an i7/920 that's overclocked to 4ghz.

i've captured over two hours of sd video, via component input, without any issues, using their capture app and their mjpeg codec.

the preview under vegas 12 seems to work better with hd video; some sd clips using other codecs didn't show up in the preview window, but that also happened when testing it with premiere pro 5.

it's only locked up vegas 12 once so far.

in all previous versions of vegas my intensity was rock solid.... 13 / bm / whoever seem to have screwed up and no one cares ;-(

I've been planning to buy Intensity pro, but now I'm totally confused. So there is no reliable TV card for Vegas pro?
Maybe this is a problem of driver version. Maybe the latest is not the best. Did you try older versions?

@peter100 - much as i loved using the intensity i have neither the time nor the inclination to waste sorting out MY problem. i say my because from what i've gathered not everyone has problems, and if they do, they don't always match mine - it's a cr*p shoot i guess.

i'm now simply using a properly calibrated ips panel feed from either on board 4600 or gtx650.

peter100 - as we have stated repeatedly in your Other parent thread in reply to your question - You should be hooking up a good video card with an HDMI connector to a good video monitor - NO TV ! Please - that just a problematic route.
