Interesting Bug/Quirk

Take a clip and add a velocity envelope to it. Set if for 150-200%.

Now pick a spot in the middle of the clip to split it using the preview window as you move thru the clip. Use the S key to spit it

Look at the new cilp and you will see that is starts earlier than your split point.

Work around was to do the splits prior to the envelope addition and then they work fine.

Consider it a quirk, as Vegas is interpolating based on new length of media in event, but still is the original event length. If you rendered it out, then split, you'll see it splits exactly where you want it to.
I'm sure this could be written for, but question is whether it's worth it or not.

It doesn't matter what velocity you pick, when you hit the "S" key, the second event will start just as if the velocity envelope had never been applied.

" . . will start just as if the velocity envelope had never been applied " . .and yes, that is how it should be. That's logical . . might not be what we think intuitively "should" happen.. but that's the logic . .
