Saw some of the info that came out with the Intel announcement on the 30th.
First, the ARC gpus will do hardware encoding of AV1.

The media engine already has been supported by the developers of
FFMPEG, Handbrake, Premiere Pro, Xsplit, and Davinci Resolve.
Come on Magix . . . get it in gear and add Vegas Pro to the list!!!!
Saw a video of the upcoming Arc GPU support for the Cycels rendering engine in Blender. it appeared to be pretty responsive when Cycles was turned on on in the layout window.

All in all, some interesting info for creators.

Have been waiting for prices to drop some more before getting a new video Card. The rest of my system has been upgraded, but still running a 1660 OC. With my budget was considering a 3060 Ti or maybe even a 3070 at the right price. But since I'm waiting anyway, will now keep my mind open about Intel's new GPUs
