Interface Is WAY TOO MASSIVE!!

Good day wonderful peeps & Happy Thanksgiving!!

It is thanksgiving so I am currently on Road trips, which will take a total of 26 hours and I figured might as well use a lot of that time doing something productive like video editing, instead of wasting time, the issue I have is that even though the specs on the laptop I have are great, the display is an absolute TURD so the entire software looks extremely zoomed in, so working with many tracks becomes incredibly annoying and more since I have to use a trackpad most of the time (see picture of Vegas 19 interface down below)

If anyone knows a way to Zoom out the interface I would whole heartedly appreciate it if you dropped it down in the comments :)

Please share a screenshot (prt screen or windows + shift + s) and upload it using the button next to the smiley face.

I edit sometimes on a 1920x1080p laptop and it is fine.

In Windows is the scaling set to greater than 125%? If so reduce it. Make sure Windows resolution is at the native resolution of the display as well. If that resolution is unusually low it may not work well.

As mentioned, the 2 most likely culprits are going to be your laptop's monitor resolution being below its native resolution, or windows scaling being too high. Both of these can be fixed from the display settings menu in windows, which can be accessed by right clicking on the desktop.

So as I've said the Display of this laptop is an absolute TURD, the resolution is 1366 x 768, I used to know a way to make the interface smaller back when I had an even worse computer in my early days of video editing, but I forgot, apps like Photoshop let you zoom out the interface very easily, I remember I had to do a mildly big process to zoom out the interface in Vegas. In any case thank you for your help, hopefully more answers pop up.

The only issue I saw was that I would get on the divider above the timeline below the tabs at the top and make the timeline section taller. Otherwise, seems it would work fine...

A workable minimum monitor resolution is in my opinion 1920x1080, but another option (beside the proposed scaling of the upper section of UI as shown by @jetdv) to get more space for the timeline is to disable toolbars, as well disabling the toolbar, status bar and transport bar in the preview, you will get something like this:

Be sure to save your nee layout for when you need to work on the laptop screen.

In hotels you can also connect to a TV over HDMI and move the preview there for example.
