iPhone12Max videos to Movie Studio 17 Platinum

Please help I have tried all the fixes I can find on this site and YouTube. I shot a movie on my iPhone 12Max and it's a move file and I cannot get it to load to MM17Platinum. It states that file type os not supported. I've converted file to MP4 and AVC and neither work either. They are blank although I don't get the error message. I added an HEVC extension and can play the video on my PC but no joy with MM17. I converted the file using QWinFF and also unclicked the legacy AVC button in preferences. I've spent about 10 hours on this so far and cannot find a way that works.

I have 2TB SS drive and using GeoForce GTX960M with 20GB ram and 2.6Ghz i7 Intel

Please help me :(

Give here the MediaInfo of the original file you tried to load

j-v was probably referring to the link he gave you for instructions on MediaInfo.

Anyway can you upload a short file from your phone to a cloud service such as Google Drive. We can then download it and try on our systems.

Your footage has variable framerate on a level Vegas cannot handle.
Convert the files to steady 29.970 framerate through Handbrake

I downloaded Handbrake and File Checksum Hash to verify the install. Handbrake has me download .NET so it can run. ".NET" installs and shows as properly installed but Handbrake doesn't recognize the installation and won't open. Handbrake asks me to install .NET when I initialize the program. Is there a way to get Handbrake to recognize that .NET is installed? Maybe reinstall Handbrake with .NET already there?

Your recommendation makes perfect sense based on the reading I have done. Now if I can make all the software play well together.

I am in software hell. It's like Apple and Windows are fighting siblings and neither will give :)

I’ve emerged from Hell. User error installing the .NET as I clicked the first x64 install and not the second section desktop installation.

Now Handbrake opened and my video is on the main screen.

please help me to set the proper boxes in Handbrake. See photo above. I’m getting excited to believe this may soon be resolved. Thank you!

Is the correct Video encoder for best resolution and audio video tracking MOEG 4 or should I choose H.265 or 265 (Nvidia NVEnc) since I have Geoforce in this PC. I want to get hi-res file to edit for YouTube.

I’ve set the parameters and it’s running through transfer now. Shows about an hours so I’ll let you know when it’s done how it turned out.

Well J-V you are now on the Varsity team! The suggestions you made have fixed my issue and the file loads into MS17. Thank you very much for guiding me through this!!!

I'll play with it a bit more since the new project button didn't load the video but I used the file to open MS17 and that loaded it automatically.

I am all good now :)
