Is anyone using the Behringer XTouch Mini as a controller?

I like it because it has knobs that seem to be able to read the current settings (audio, pan, etc) as opposed to the Korg Mini Kontrol that I have that works but you have to "capture" the level control. I have not bought it yet but was wondering if anybody else is using it or something similar. The price range is in my range.

Good idea - read on . ..

More money, but I'm using the PreSonus FaderPort8 and using it within Vegas and I have to say it is a bit of a bear! I've had joy with using MCU emulation and use the Sliders - very sexy - to control Envelopes for Vol and Pan. The keying and Video controls emulation are icky. I'm assuming you're wanting to use it within VP15 - yes? Would that be for a full MiDi control surface? Actually what would you be using it for? I'm not aware that MAGIX will be continuing the good work Peter Haller did on the mapping of Control Surfaces, so be aware of the pitfalls regarding non-Legacy development activity. See if you can get some way to try on apro.

In conjunction with the FP8, I'm using a combo of Acid Pro8 and PreSonus Studio One Pro to dabble with music production.

I am using Vegas 12. I want it to make mixing easier in Vegas and Cakewalk Sonar. I get tired of dragging the volume envelopes up and down. I don't need to do on the fly mixing, just add a node and change the level. If Vegas does not continue the Midi support, I could still use it in Sonar, plus with the type of knobs, it can be used in other apps. Many people use it for their Adobe Lightroom controls. The Presonus appears to have only one slider and one knob so variable adjustments would be a bit trickier. Thanks for your input.
