Maybe I'm missing something here, but I exported my Vegas Project to PPro and have exported out the project as an AAF file - PPro sees it with the video clips and transitions, but there's no audio for any of the video clips.
Anything special I should be doing??? I am testing the sharing of my Vegas Projects with a colleague who edits in PPro 2.0. I have tested several times and although PPro imports the AAF export, when I open the sequence there are no audio tracks at all for any of the clips on the timeline - not sure what is amiss here...
Cliff, I'm using vegas 8.0b and premiere cs3, with hdv files from a z1. premiere picks up the audio files just fine unless they are overlapped (transition) in vegas,, then it will ignore the transition .. but it gives a message its ignoring it.
This is really strange - I export out the AAF file from Vegas (tried both AAF options) - The video clips import fine and lay out on the timeline correctly, but no audio tracks are available - I would have to replace each video clip with the same one all over - PITA. I wonder if this is due to testing with PPro 2 - which is what my colleague uses.
DaveT2 - Yeah - have tried all options - still no audio showing up on the timeline AAF Import.
Audio properties are the same for each app so I don't think that's an issue.
Just so I'm clear in my problem - I import the AAF file, once import is complete, I double click on the Sequence file that is created from the AAF import which then opens on the timeline - that is where no audio shows at all.
Edit: So I took a single clip with no effects added to it - it brings in both video and audio - so I am concluding that any audio effects added in Vegas prevents them from being seen in PPro - major PITA.
