Is it possible to create new projects from selected events?

i know there is a button with funtion called create nested timeline.
beside that can we create a script which can create new projects from selected events.

i also tried Happy otters Region to Project. but it keep all data in media pool. event it is not part of created new project from it.
but even then what is the coding for that in charp without using LINQ and DRAWING namespaces.

Yes. What I would do is have the script delete every event that is NOT selected. Then call RemoveUnusedMedia() on the media pool. And, finally, save the project under a different name. The only question is - how is the script going to know the new name?

Actually, i was thinking of a script which can do this all by following steps.

  1. check if project has regions. if not inform user.
  2. if yes then make a list of regions
  3. then select all events falls under first region. deselect all other events
  4. then create a new vegas project from selected events only and save it to current project location in a new directory named 'Nest Projects' with name of Region Labels
  5. on complete of first region process it should move forward to next region.

Yes, that would be doable. The script would basically need to do the following:

  1. Save the project
  2. Set the region number you are currently processing
  3. delete everything not in that region
  4. Clear out the media pool
  5. Save the project for the region name
  6. Load the original project again
  7. Increment the region being processed and go to step 3 unless all regions have been processed.

I suppose that alternately it could go through all regions and just save new full projects. Then individually load each of the new "region" projects and delete everything not in that region. Same result but you wouldn't have to reload the original project many times. But each individual project would need to be loaded so you end up with the same difference.
