Is it possible to import vegas 6 files into 8 plat

Does anyone have a way to import files created in vegas 6 full version into vegas 8 platinum version. I dont think they are surround sound files, just straight forward edit files with no text etc.

The best you can probably do is to have both programs open at the same time, highlight everything on the Vegas 6 timeline, Copy, and then try Pasting on the Vegas Studio 8 timeline. I don't expect much will happen, but it's worth a try.

There is no way to import .veg files from the full version of Vegas into the Studio version.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately I do not have the full version myself, it is someone elses, and we thought if we copied all the media files and vegas file we might be able to do it but alas no.

Have you tried "make movie" from 6 Pro and then use the movie file as source in VMSP ?

I think that may be a partial solution. I did want to alter some of the edits but I suppose i could save in the bes possible quality and use it as the scource file.
