My recollection is that Sony suggests setting the Dynamic RAM Preview Max to abut 65-70% of the Max available.

Not sure why it's limiting you to about a Gig.

Hey gary. In earlier builds of 6 it just asn't working right unless I had it at zero. Now I'm not sure what to use.

So for you it doesn't cap you at 1024mb?

When I had 2 gig, it showed Max as 1800 or 1900 MBs.

In 6c, you don't want to be using more than 50% of your RAM unless you're working with lots of stills.
There is no limit, other than the 2 gig limit that is a Windows 32 bit limitation.
Vegas will reserve RAM no matter what the setting, because it knows you need system overhead.

So if I max it at say 1gig I should'nt get any performance hit like prior? Hmmm...I'll give it a shot.
