is RAW worth it?

Hi all,
I'm trying to get my head around a few aspects of recording codecs as I'm close to buying a new camera. My current choice is the Sony FS5 as it's become pretty cheap, as they now sell the FS5mk2 including the RAW option and a few other addons, but it's basically the exact same hardware.

So, is the RAW option worth it, or is the available SLOG3 just as good? ( if filesize is not an issue) I understand that grading RAW is actually easier than grading LOG and is pretty easy on the timeline?

Thanks!

Economic jabberwocky follows:

If you have an offsetting revenue stream and can make an acceptable return on invested capitol and the expense of storing and processing terrabytes of data, then yes.

Techno-philosophical answer follows:

"If it feels good, do it." *
