Is There A Script To Render Seperate Mono Tracks?

I'm looking for a way to duplicate a render option that's in Vegas 10 but not (so far as I can see) in 11. After finishing a video project I need to be able to render the audio as two separate mono wave files, one that's all the left channels only and a second that's all the right channels only.

I started a thread in the Audio section and it looks like 11 doesn't offer this as a render choice (which it did in 10). To avoid redundancy, here's a link to that thread:

Does anyone know of a script that might exist that will restore this render option to me?

While it could -- theoretically -- be done via scripting, it's not a very effective attack vector for your problem. I'd recommend rendering a stereo file, then running an external tool to split the channels into separate files. FFMpeg and Sox are command line tools that can do what you request.

Thanks, Johan. I'll try your idea and see how that process fares against just sticking with 10 for any DCP projects. I'm glad I picked up 11 because I want to keep supporting the program but so far it doesn't seem to have too much to offer me over 10. It just blows that such a simple render option was stripped out. :(
