Could this be done with a script?

JJKizak wrote on 3/22/2017, 6:37 PM

Possibly Johnny Roy made a script for this a while back.

You can save yourself a bit of time creating the markers by drumming on your M key while you listen to the music. Or you can use this: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/automatically-place-markers-on-music-beats--96812/ I don't think Gary ported his scripts to VP14 but you're using VP13 so it should work.

Yes, this can be automated with a script. But I doubt that such a script exists...

You can copy/paste the keyframes from one event to another.

An easier way is to copy an event, then right click on another event & select "paste event attributes." It paste ALL event attributes, including FX. Just forewarning. :)

Using BCC Beat Reactor would be a different approach, though limited on BCC FX then.

I remember there once was another tool which automatically created beat-driven keyframes for audio envelopes which then could be copied to video fx but I can't remember which one it was.

That would be amazing! if it exists.

It should not be to difficult for Vegas team to include something Magix pro X NLE already have (as Magix is the owner of Vegas now), that is Beat-based editing. Set snap markers in your audio material by clicking on the mouse to the beat of the music. You can also synchronize video clips with audio material in seconds.

BCC Beat Reactor

Hey Marco, thanks for the Link. Does 2012 apply? Just asking.
