I usually pre-record a 10 - 20 second header on my tapes by putting my Sony D8 camcorder into VCR mode and using Record. This puts timecode on the tape. If however, I use the capture app to capture the tape, and I start the capture in this region, it gets confused as to what format it is capturing. It thinks it is 720 x 576, 25 fps, 32000 HZ, instead of 720 x 480, 29.97 fps, 48000 HZ. If I start the capture in some actual footage, it works okay.

Is there a way to tell the capture app what format it is capturing, and not have it guess? It looks to me like it thinks it is capturing PAL.
