Is there a way to preview, and zoom in, video while motion tracking?

When it comes time to manually animate something, it can be a pain to bring up the Track Motion menu and look on my second monitor for how precise it is, look back at my main monitor to advance in keyframes, and look back at my second monitor again.

For Pan/Crop, you get a nice little screen that shows you the video you are zooming in on.

Is there any way to have a preview of the video, and any of its video tracks, in the Track Motion window for a more precise edit? Especially doing 3D motion tracking and animating, it is a hassle to do it "blind" where all you see is a white screen and have to constantly check your inputs in the preview. Even if there's a plugin, I'll take that!

@Former user Hi, if there was a preview in Track Motion this is pretty much all you'd see?

PS, I coloured the background of Track Motion pale blue because it'd need some kind of background to show the edges of the project.

Mouse click in video preview window, then zoom in/out using scroll wheel, drag while holding scroll wheel depressed?

I would prefer if it looked like that, because I can see the object moving around on screen. How did you get your track motion window to look like this (the right preview window in the second video)?

Clicking on the preview window doesn't do anything for me. Is this a setting that needs to be turned on? I've never been able to click on elements within the preview, or scroll to zoom in on the preview window.

@Former user I don't think @wjaunch understood your request. what he is describing is zooming & panning around in the Preview window in VP20.

Sorry it isn't real. I made it look like that with masks & an insert with a bit of tracking, that's why i said "if there was a preview in Track Motion"

I see. Well, to explain myself better here, you can select on-screen elements in Davinci resolve and move them around when you've selected "transform" on them. You can also zoom in on the preview to get a more precise look.

I was hoping that the track motion screen would have a similar option, where I could choose to see what I'm editing on a certain track, zoom in, and move elements around the screen so I can get something precise done manually.

Picture in picture is much better and I've been working with it, but I haven't found a way to zoom into the preview. I can only make the preview bigger.

Likewise, zooming in on the track motion screen requires you to edit your workspace to recenter. It's a hassle to animate in it. So what I should really be asking is, is there a way to zoom in on the preview screen when using Picture-in-picture, or in general?

I'm working with Vegas Pro 19, it's the Steam version.

Edit: Specified "Pro"

@Former user VP20 introduced the zoom window, that is what @wjaunch was talking about,

Also most fxs in VP19 had a tiny little grey + to move the fx on screen, those +s are now a bigger white circle,

This is BCC Transform, not included in VP20 but i used it to show the white O's that adjust the fx. because of the zoom window you can drag those points off screen,

Oh, I suppose I should have saved up for 20 in the end. I didn't realize this feature was only *just* introduced. It seems like it'd be pretty necessary for an editing program. All I found on YouTube were workarounds using Bezier masks.

@Former user The new Preview Zoom feature introduced in Vegas Pro 20, should solve all the issues you are currently having.
