No scam, just borderline illegal.
IMHO you might as well just download a cracked version for free, at least that way no one's making a dollar out of piracy.
Bob.
Generally speaking, if you have to ask that question the answer is NO.
Here's some of THEIR conditions:
2.3. You cannot register the software with the manufacturer and updates are available not for all the products;
2.4. You do not receive printed license documentation;
2.5. You do not receive a copy of the software on a disk.
Only if you get caught, duh!
Same goes for killing your wife.
But seriously, I think what these shysters are selling is a COPY of the software, not a LICENCE to use it!
How can they get away with that. Well from what I understand, say you did purchase a AE licence for the full price but then your HD crashed and the installation CD was destroyed ina fire but somehow you still had the licence. Well you could buy a copy for $50 and as you already had a licence you can activate that copy.
So if you buy the $50 copy then the only legal way you can use it is if you have already paid for the licence. Without the licence I don't think any of the current Adobe products will even install.
Bob.
I actually have two licenses for the Adobe Video Collection Professional 2.5 that includes Photoshop and AE 6.5 Pro that CAN be registered and use to upgrade/update/support. If you are interested, drop me an email and Ill make you a decent deal. patrick dot masters at gmail dot com.
