I don't know what this is called, but I thought I had a pretty good 3CCD camera, till I put it's phootage next to a better camera's phootage. We were unable to match the shots. We decided not to use the phootage that was shot via my camera because it was really obvious when mixed in with the other phootage. My color looked weak also.

I was told that the only way to get rid of it was to get a better camera. I hope with this thread that we find otherwise.

I believe, correct me if I'm wrong anybody, that this is just you seeing interlaced video on a non-interlaced monitor. When you print to tape (or burn to DVD), you will never see that. Or so I've been told.

Usually, as a rule, I always select the "Reduce interlace flicker" filter on video events. If for no other reason, it makes everything look vaguely filmic.
