Is trackmotion creating my problem?

I scaled/cropped down a series of video events on a track using track motion (vegas 7). When I added a new video track above or below that particular track, the newly added tracks were grey or shadded in color and the event that I placed on those new tracks was not visible in my preview. The tracks did not appear to be muted. I'm sure there is some basic reason for this happening, I hardly ever use track motion, I usually keyframe the events by themselves.

Thanks for any input.

I run into a similar situation and can't offer a solid solution.

But from what I recall, one has to change the seemingly invisible track to basic alpha or 3D alpha, and/or move the events to one or the other type of track. So try changing the track properties on the new tracks, and/or move the events from one type of track to another and see if anything changes.

If something does, it may be a clue to the solution :)

And make sure the composite level is at 100% -- which it should be by default upon creating a new track. But double-check it anyway.

Make sure you don't have the "solo" icon (an !) activated. Other tracks will appear (or rather, disappear) as you describe. Darryl

The track was soloed, thus creating my dilema.

Thabnks for the help.
