At this point, why not wait for version 6?

Verson 5 adds many new features and DOES change how some things get done. For example with pan/crop and track motion. So some minor unlearning/relearning required. With version 6 right around the corner, probably smarter to wait and see what changes again and what gets added. You can have your cake and eat it too. Many, including me have systems where we have multiple versions of Vegas installed. I have both versions 4 and 5 on this box and they get along fine and don't seem to bother each other.

BB how does one go about installing V5 whithout affecting V4?
I have had my upgrade for a while but had to many projects going on
and was not wanting to to go through any headaches. I would like to have both versions installed. I did'nt realize you could do this.

You don't have to do ANYTHING. Vegas 4 automatically installs in the "Vegas 4.0" folder. Vegas 5 automatically installs in the "Vegas 5.0" folder. There's absolutely no problems at all having both installed.

Just remember that Vegas 4.0 won't open Vegas 5.0 projects.

You just install it. Vegas is one of the type programs that always is a full application, unlike some others that mess with a previous install of an earlier version adding, deleting some files, Vegas doesn't do that.

Yes, DVDA1 and DVDA2 can both be installed on the same system. Once you use DVDA2 you'll never open DVDA1 again, though. (Just a warning)

Yea no kidding. DVDA-2 is so far beyond DVDA-1. I wonder how much 3 is going to change.

That, along with the post about PhotoShopCS2... gives me shivers just thinking about the menus we'll be able to make!
