Is Vegas Pro 1.0a Compatible with Windows 2000?

I'm thinking about upgrading my OS from Windows 98 to Windows 2000 since it's more stable than 98. I would like to know if anyone has had any success with loading and using Vegas Pro 1.0a on a computer using Windows 2000?

Vegas 1 was never designed with 2000 or XP in mind and consequently any support is simply pot luck.

It won't be officially supported.

We're a few years ahead of Vegas 1.0 - we're on Vegas 4.0C now...

I know the world has evolved into more productive software, but I like this and this isn't the only software that I use but, I still love it and I want to keep it. Would this work on Windows XP?

Vegas 1.0 should work just fine on Win2000. We develope all of our apps on NT Kernels, so you shouldn't have any compatability issues. Vegas 1.0 uses Wave I/O so as long as you have drivers for you audio card under Win2000, you should be fine.
