Is Vegas Pro 9 coming soon ?

I've seen references to Vegas Movie Studio 9 series platform, but nothing on Vegas Pro 9.
DV.com lists some nice things about Movie studio.
such as;

Support for AVCHD 1920 format for Canon, Sony etc.
Built in Cinescore Studio Soundtrack Creation.
I can't wait to see what Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 will bring to the table.

I don't expect to hear much from beta testers, because of the possibility of violating thier disclosure agreements.

But at least a confirmation that Vegas Pro 9.0 will reveal itself soon will wonderful.

By the way spot or anyone how does one apply to be on the beta team ?
I've done some beta work in the past for Microsoft and Intel.

I don't think we will see Vegas Pro any time soon.

Sony has talked about 8.0c coming very soon and unless they changed their minds and are going to put all the updates in a new version, I don't think the PRO version is getting a full upgrade. You may want to do a little Googling and find out when the last version of Movie Studio came out, in relation to the full version. If I recall correctly, it was probably 5 months.

I could still see SCS releasing 8c this/next month & VP9 in end of august/september/october. Normally the whole number adds new features & sometimes doesn't have all the fixes of the latest letter release of the previous version so they may develop in parallel (IE part of a team fix bugs in current version, part start on new version).

The built in Cinescore thing i do find quite intriguing. Wonder if that will go anywhere in the Pro version?

We need to see AcidPro 7 first ! That's way behind the 'usual' schedule and I believe that there is a pattern to releases so that AP7 will definitely come first.

The ability to use Cinescore as a plug-in already exists in Vegas Pro 8.

And that wasn't even new with Pro 8.
