Issue with Audio Cutting Off at the End When Importing into Vegas Pro

mamomo wrote on 10/14/2024, 10:16 AM

Dear Magix Support Team,

I am experiencing a problem with Vegas Pro and need your assistance. Some audio files, although complete in their original versions, appear cut off at the end when I import them into the program. I have verified that the original files are complete and error-free, but upon importing them into Vegas Pro, the final part of the audio gets cut off.

I have attempted the following solutions without success:

  • Re-importing the audio files.
  • Verifying that the files are in a format compatible with Vegas Pro.
  • Restarting the program and my computer.

Additional Information:

Version of Vegas Pro: Vegas 22

Operating System and System Specifications: Windows 11, 32 ram, nvidia 3070

Details of the Affected Audio Files: Mp3

Attachment: I have included a screen capture video that shows the issue in real-time so you can see exactly what is happening.

I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue, as it is important for my work.

I look forward to your response.

Sincerely,

Comments

@mamomo Hi,

Details of the Affected Audio Files: Mp3

Indeed, it is a bug related to the Mp3 decoder, I've seen this bug for years. It is a random audio bug with mp3 files. My solution is always to convert the mp3 file to WAV. I can not reproduce the same bug when I use wav files.

Thank you for your response. In my case, the issue occurs when I create audio files using ElevenLabs, especially after I make corrections to some of the audios. When I import these files into Vegas Pro, the audio gets cut off at the end, even though the original files are complete and play correctly outside of Vegas Pro.

The workaround you suggested is quite cumbersome and significantly slows down my workflow. Since I work with many audio files, implementing such a solution for each one isn't practical. I'm hoping that the team at Magix can provide a solution to this problem to help streamline the process.

I appreciate your attempt to assist, but I'm looking for a more efficient solution that doesn't hinder my productivity.
