I am including below one of the media files (Its small) from the GoPro. If you want one from the GH6 that is running 4k 60fps, 10-bit let me know.

You will need to provide the file via a file share site. Embedding it on the forum will not provide us with the actual media you are working with.

Did you see the post directly above this? If you want a file or two, i am happy to share some with you. Just let me know.

Have a try to uncheck "Enable direct GPU import path" in the File-I/O tab.

I will give this a shot tomorrow

Thanks for clarifying, I've only worked with older GoPros.

FWIW, experimental HEVC decoding is so4compound, which can actually be fast with some HEVC types and at least Intel iGPUs.

Doing this really slowed down the software when you click around things and if there is more than one item on top of another, but it did speed up when you tried to work on the GoPro Footage.

Also, it really slows down crossfades to where the systems lags. Rendering also slowed down to about 1/4 of the speed

But on a side note, with the last release, I was getting super lag on crossfades with GRO Pro footage; this seems to make it run a little better. I noticed the GPU isn't really doing any rendering now, mainly the CPU.

This seemed to help. It's not great, but it's a ton better. Now I just have to hope this also helps with the render issue.

If you don't mind me asking, what did this change?

@joshua-noesser
The file you gave in another complaint plays and renders on my laptop from signature without a problem in Vegas 21 b 300 with all default settings and without the use of proxies. Look

welll....that is annoying.. Did you try trimming the clip? Just a simple drag of the ends to move it so it starts in a different spot. Wondering if that works fine for you. If that is fine, maybe I need to delete and reinstall the latest version.

The render issue seems like it might be a memory leak. It doesn't do it at first, but builds up to it. Last time i tried before changing the settings to run basically the CPU only, it would basically stall around 1 minute of video.
