I'm trying to make a simple half hour long dvd with no menus. First of all after I load the avi. file and hit make DVD, it takes a long time for a prompt to come up. I don't think that's right is it? Finally after several minutes the screen appears. On my first attempt, after preparing the folder I went to ' burn ' , ' previously prepared folder' . It then took approximately ten more minutes until the prompt came, I tried to burn the dvd, and the screen comes up 'rendering and making dvd'. this process took about four hours. when it finished there was no dvd burned, only a new file made. Now DVD ARCHITECT will not open this new file. On my next attempt I tried making a MASTER.
Several hours later, same result.
Can anyone help?????

You don't describe the process you went through. It should have been:

File | New | Single Movie.
Browse to & select AVI file.
Click on Make DVD and choose Burn.
Follow the on screen prompts.

The rendering will take a considerable time as the AVI has to be converted to MPEG.

This should make a DVD, not a file that can be opened by DVDA.
