I would love to but I live in Montana - long ways for a beer no? What brand blank dvd do you use.

Presently I am not epxerimenting with DVD, I'm waiting for the whole format thing to die down a little.

I'd love to sit in a pub and have a couple of pints with ya, Grazie. But I live in Minnesota, and its too cold to go outside right now! :) (Ufdaah, ya know!)

So, you don't play with DVD...then what brand beer do you prefer? ;)

Grazie,

You need a little JohnnyRoy logic. ;-) It doesn’t matter which one you buy now because by the time the format thing dies down they will be up to 10x, it will be time to buy another one anyway and you can buy the one that wins at that time. I bought a Pioneer A03 a year ago for $380 and I’m thinking of upgrading to the Pioneer A05 (now only $299) to get 4x speed. (creating a DVD in 15 min is rather enticing).

So it makes no sense to wait. +R, -R, who cares? They all play in the same DVD player at the end of the day. Let them fight over formats while we’re making DVD’s. BTW, I highly recommend the Pioneer.

Stiffy - Better hurry up we meet in 2 hours! How does not playing with DVD determine what type of beer I prefer?

MikeTree - I don't drink and drive! But yeah it's a bummer!

JR - You wanna speak with my partner?! - NO you don't! But am I tempted - you betcha! Now JR think PAL and think UK-side prices . . .

Hey Guys - I'm really gonna miss y'll tonite at the National Film Theatre Bar!!!

Will down one for all of you!!

[HIC! ] Grazie {Hic!]

Oh, I though the issue was which format, not price. Yes they are a bit more expensive in the UK approx. £249 GBP, which is around $399 USD. Hey look at it this way, if you spread it over a year, it’s less that a pound a day! Surely you could some up with a way to save an extra pound a day. Then just buy the drive and promise your partner you’ll start saving that extra pound each day right away. ;-)

Throw back a pint for me will ya’. I wish I could be there. Guess I'll have to wait for the video.

Pounds? Did you say pounds? My doctor wants me to lose about 35 of them. I'll donate them to anyone who wants them!

Oh, not that kind of pounds? Oops. Oh well. ;)

Hiya Grazie,

I've been busy these days in wireless LAN configuration hell. I've got it all pretty much working now except MSN Messenger file transfer and voice conversation. Anyhow, it is a bit quiet here now that you've upgraded to Vegas. Hope you're enjoying yourself. I would have loved to share a pint with you folks in London Town. Cheers.

Hey, I've not logged on for a few days and missed a beer! And in such salubrious surroundings (try saying that when you're sober). Grazie - next time.

Hiyah Ladz! - Where do you both reside? UK or US? I can't remember - apologies . .

Grazie
p_l wrote on 3/8/2003, 5:28 AM
I'm in that part of the US often referred to as Canada. ;)

Right-On! Apologies p_l . . .

Grazie, no need to apologize. I understand it's hard to tell the former colonies apart: they both drive on the right side of the road, eat sausages instead of bangers, etc., but perhaps a word from this familiar figure might help you to tell the difference. ;)

Grazie, I reside in Mummy's (see p_l's pop-up) back garden - Kent.
