It's the little things.

Slowly getting my head around AE, it sure can be a challenge even with all the great tutorials around. Like everything once you get your head into the space you realise some thought went into the design of the UI but it favours the fast and furious.

But it's the simplest little things that impress me the most, things that take little time to code that we could have in Vegas.

1) Increment and save.
2) Remembering where to save and render things.
3) Playing a little tune when rendering is done.

Apart from that, after watching a few AE tutorials I've become somewhat better at using the more advanced features in Vegas. I used to really struggle with Beziers and rotoscoping. You know, Vegas ain't that bad really. Some decent tutorials on using Vegas's advanced features like AE has for free would sure help. Actually watching an expert do things jogs the grey cells no end much more effectively than explainations of what things do from manuals.
