It will not burn to disc

Hello, Wondering if anyone knows the answer. What I enjoy doing is going to Air Shows, taking video with my Canon camcorder, and take MTS files and edit them on Vegas and render M2TS movie files and then use DVD Architect to render and burn the video files onto a Blu Ray 50GB BDL disc to watch on my blu ray player. I burn them with NO menu's, just straight on streaming my videos on my blu ray player to watch as a plain movie. I use the Music/Video Compilation feature where I just drag the video files in and set the order I want them to be, then click "Make Blu-Ray Disc".

Well now suddenly, things are not working. Something must've changed. When i'm rendering it to burn onto a blu ray to watch . . . . like when I drag the video files to the Music/Video Compilation, then I click on "Make Blu-Ray Disc", set the destination folder for that "iso" file, insert a 6x speed BDL Blu ray 50GB disc, it takes its time rendering, over an hour which which was normal, but then when it reaches the point of "Burning in Lead", a few seconds later after that a message pops up it indicates "Burn was successful, would you like to burn another one?". I clicked "No", then I grabbed my disc to play it in the blu ray player, nothing is in that disc. Then when I grabbed that disc to try it again since it's showing as empty, the disc is showing as "unreadable". So then the disc not only has nothing in it to watch but also became un-usable and I wounded up throwing it away in the garbage. So last multiple discs became a waste into the garbage. What do you suppose is going on with DVD architect? Did something update in it that wasn't meant for? Do I need a new internal blu ray drive for my desktop? Was there suppose to be an add on that I'm not aware about? Like I said, it's worked before in the last couple years and I made some fine movies of my own to watch, now suddenly it's not going to burn, it's only going to render and i'm suddenly wasting empty blu ray discs and have to buy more.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would check the Burner first. If it is writing something to the disk, but not finishing, that would be the most suspect.

Ok, it is an internal Blu Ray burner that I ordered with my Dell desktop. But yeah it is a couple of years old. I guess maybe it has to be replaced?

Use other software to check it. There used to be Burner software that would evaluate the drive and the quality of the burn. Do a google search, that should help.

Well. . . . . looks like it really was the burner after all. Just contacted Dell and purchased the burner drive replacement and i'm suddenly burning on DVD Architect again. lol. Thanks for the response and for pointing that out to me. Cheers!

Sorry you had to replace it, but glad you were able to figure it out. Enjoy!
