Izotope RX 8 Advanced slowing down my timeline

I am in the middle of two large rush projects that are due in the next few days. I've been using the RX8 elements plugin pack and loving it, so yesterday I sprung for the full Advanced pack because I could use it on these projects. I've started working with them, and now I notice when I click on any audio event, it lags a lot before the cursor moves to that point ...even when there are no effects applied to that audio event or anywhere near that audio event. I went through and removed anywhere I used one of the more intensive plugins and now it's down to only a 1/2 sec delay, but that still slows me down so much and drives me crazy as I work my way through this 1.5hr project. Mostly I've just been using the crackle remove plugin and that was included in the basic Elements pack, but when I try to uninstall and go back to just using that pack, Vegas says I'm missing all of the plugins -that one included. Is there any setting that could speed things up again? ...maybe to make those plugins not affect the timeline responsiveness when clicking on events that don't have them applied to them?

Have you experimented with the playback buffer setting? Which is usually the cause of an initial playback delay or glitch. That is in the "Options> Preferences> Audio Device" menu as I recall.

The delay isn't when hitting the play button, it's just the time between when I click on an audio event and when the cursor moves to that point. Interestingly, when I click on video events or a bus track, there is no delay. So I've just been trying to minimize clicking on audio events, navigating mostly by clicking on a bus track at the bottom of my screen.

Is this only when RX is loaded to the Fx chain?

It's interesting. As soon as I apply one of the RX plugins to any audio event on the timeline, I start getting the lag for ALL audio events on the timeline, even if that event is at the other end of the timeline. It's most apparent with the "Spectral Denoise" plugin. It seems as though as soon as I use the plugin anywhere in the project, it then loads itself up into ram for realtime playback any time I click on any audio event.
