The longer I'm at it, the worse this seems to get. Playing back the timeline jerks along skipping frames- the sound is fine, the picture is awful. I have upgraded to 4 GB RAM and that does NOTHING. Motherboard is 2.6Ghz Intel, XP Windows.

Oh, the same thing happens when I place a clip on the trimmer. However, the second time you play through onthe trimmer, it plays back just fine.

Help!
