When instaling it I've noticed, that it says "200 uses", I'm not any kind of business, and use Vegas only for my home videos and i probably will never hit that 200 mark, but just in case, how one registers?
Don't worry about it at this point. There will, hopefully, be a new version available next week and that one restriction will be removed. If you want the restriction removed now, download the current version. (filename ends with 1_0b.exe instead of 1_0.exe)
I appreciate that Kelure but it's too much trouble for me to copy and paste that url into my address box.....now come on html gurus, it's just a joke : )

I've been doing some research into that error. I thought it was fixed in 1.0b but some people are still getting it. However, I've worked on getting rid of it some more in the version I hope is released next week.
For now, many people have the problem when going to the root directory but the problem sometimes seems to go away when going to a folder. BTW here's how the screen should work:
The text box is only there to show you the folder you have chosen. The directory should be chosen by using the browse button. In the next version, the text box will be disabled.
The browse button will allow picking the folder. While a file name is visible, the file name WILL NOT BE USED. The goal of this screen is to simply chose the destination folder. If a file name is entered, it will be ignored.
okay, where do I install the plug-in to? I tried in the plug-ins folder, but it doesn't show up as an event FX choice. Please tell me where exactly I'm being stupid...
AV asked, "Please tell me where exactly I'm being stupid..."
Somewhere between your right ear and your left ear.
Just teasing! Don't take that seriously, AC, I just couldn't let it pass. With a handle like "Army"video, you're probably a former Army Ranger who could reach down my throat, tear out my spleen and hand it to me.
Truth is I know exactly how frustrating things like installing plug-ins can be--and that's no reflecting on JDV's plug-in. Shoot, I've been known to trip over my own shadow!
is there a difference in selecting 2-3 vs 2-3-3-2 with this plugin? or even when selecting normal DV or DV widescreen?
the raw footage is already 16x9... and whether i render it in normal or widescreen 24p, 2-3 or 2-3-3-2, it all looks the same to me?
i'm a bit confused. it says to use 2-3-3-2 for pre-renders... which i'm assuming is converting my raw footage to 24p. then it says to do the final render in 2-3? why are the 2 separate renders necessary?
all i really want to do is take the raw video footage from my camcorder, give it the film look, and burn to a dvd. i'm assuming it's as simple as:
import video from camera via firewire into vegas
run jetdv's script, setting it to 2-3-3-2 (?)
do my editing/fx/etc
then render to MPG2/DVD file..and import into DVDA and burn?
I think that is correct because you have the DVDA template for 24p with 2-3 pulldown - so you would do the first conversion from your DV material as you said. Do all your work and then render direct out for DVD using the DVDA 24p (2-3) template...you would not need to render to DV again before you render out for DVD.
