Jittery/Jumpy Footage when doing Ken Burns style

I have a project in HD Movie Studio 10 Platinum that consists entirely of jpegs. The jpegs are widescreen ratio, so that is what I have for my project settings.

The problem is that the footage seems to be kind of jerky/jittery when doing Ken Burns style pans and zooms. I thought it would go away when rendering, but nope. Seems this guy is having the same problem:

I really don't think this is a Vegas issue, but rather an issue relating to the quality of web delivery Media Players. I downloaded a program called "PhotoFilmStrip" and (although I haven't done extensive testing) I notice the same stuttering issues as those observed in Vegas rendered video.

I think that local media players are much more efficient in displaying video (i.e. work better with local display adapters) than browser based players.
