Johnny Roy: Jasc Animation Shop!

JR - Read your recent post on this. I've got JAS, you gave me the impetus to try it. WOW!

Tell me something, what do you use it for and any examples I could see where it has been used? For the moment is was thinking of animating a type of Graffiti thingy - y'know the thing. The sprayer starts at frame 20 gets more and more complicated, and finally shows up as a finished piece of work - yeah?

The other thing I thought of was the age-old - "Plane-Flying-Over-A-Map" chestnut - yeah? -Might be long-winded, but if I could get it to work simple, I maybe seduced to experimenting with all sorts of stuff - yeah?

JR - thanks for the "nudge" to explore JAS.

Now - where did I put my application to Disney?

Grazie,

At one time, my son and I were doing some stop motion animation on a solid background to key into a video. I used Animation Shop to smooth the background out a bit before keying (the lighting in my living room was sub-optimal ;-) ). I started using it for things like light sabers but then I found AlamDV which was so much easier to use for that sort of thing. I never though of using it for the spray can graffiti effect but I’m gonna have to try that now that you mention it. I do a Video Yearbook each year for the 8th grade class of the school my kids attend. That might be great to spray paint Class of 2003 on the wall of the school! (hehehe) Thanks for the idea.
