Joining two projects

I have two DVD projects built. They are both about 50 min. I want to try and put them both on one DVD. I want to retain all menus and options on each. So essentially, I want to make a new DVD with a menu page with two options (DVD 1 and DVD 2). When you select one of them, it brings you to the full original DVD, you can then go back and select the other. In other words, I don't just want to join the video files, I want to have access to both projects on one DVD.

I hope this makes sense. Thanks

It does and you can't do it with DVDA unless you want to re-author both individual projects as a new project.

What you're effectively trying to do is create a true multi-VTS DVD. DVD Lab Pro can do this for you. <edit> I was just checking the Lab Pro docs, and it says it can handle DVD Lab Pro created projects, so actually I'm not certain if it could handle DVDA projects as I've not tried it.

Also be aware that you'll likely need to lower the average bitrate for your video some in order to get both projects on the DVD unless you go with DL media.

What do you mean by re-author?

I have both DVDA project files (the DAR files). Can I create a new DAR and import all the information from the two separate existing DAR's? I don't mind going through the "prepare and burn" proces again. Is that what you meant by re-author?

I can scrap the original TS folders.

It means that you create a new project, and re-create your menus, or start with one of the existing projects and modify with a new menu structure, creating the menu from the other project. DVDA doesn't have any way to export menus (which would possibly be a nice feature to have), so you'll need to re-create the menu(s).

Double-damn! Ah, well I'll just leave as is. Thanks for the help though!
