JPEG import into widescreen

Id like some advice for perfect adjustment of still (JPEGS) imported into a widescreen project. I've right clicked on the JPEG in the vegas timeline and have changed the pixel aspect ratio to widescreen and have then gone into the pan crop window of the JPEG and have clicked match output aspect. Is this accurate?

Do not change the pixel aspect ratio of the image. This setting should reflect what the original image is, not what you want the finished file to be. So just leave it alone and Vegas will handle it correctly.

Checking match output aspect in pan/crop is all you need to do.
