This is a known issue that occurs when combining AVCHD and certain still images on the timeline, and we're working to correct it. We apologize for the inconvenience.

In the meantime, workarounds include:
-Rendering still images to a video format (such as AVI)
-Rendering AVCHD footage to an intermediate format (such as AVI)
-Working in 9.0b

Where does it say anything about AVCHD? - Did I miss something?

Mine was a genuine offer, made in good faith, to open the discussion. It still stands.

If "others" know that our chum had been using AVCHD then it would be good to know. Otherwise, a question along the lines of: "Are you using this in connection with . . " would have been helpful to all of us too?

Sorry for the unconvinience that I did not mention that my project contains media in avchd. I understand now that this was significant. I will update my profile the best I can very soon.

Pandit, there really is no reason for you to apologise. I seriously wasn't aware, NOR understood how this was gleaned?

Added to which filling out specs wouldn't "necessarily" have revealed to me that you WERE presently working with AVCHD.

I've had similar problems with 9.0c without AVCHD present. I chose to go back to 9.0b. Glad to hear Sony is on this one.. See this thread.

I'm just starting to work w/ my first AVCHD project and am running into the red and black frames on my still images.

What are some of you doing to get around this? Are you editing the stills (i.e. pan, zoom and effects) in another project, then render out and re-import to main project?

Is the red/black frame issues actually gone and working OK w/ AVCHD video in 9b?
