setup my system a couple of days ago. i will not list my specs as they are pathetic. got my new dv cam sony trv 18, pretty happy with that so i list it. anyways. i set the system up to use the passthrough on the cam but was unable to get vegas to capture the signal coming from the secondary source.

came to this forum, which i have been quite a bit just to lurk and add my .02 every now and again, did a quick search for passthrough and capture or something similar and came up with a couple of hits that seemed right on the nose. turn of the device control!

well, went home last night, turned off device control and voila! passthrough works great. and no dropped frames for 1.5 hrs of capture.

i am now doing with vegas what i wanted to and that's edit.

just wanted to let those people out there who take the time to answer people's question how appreciative us newbies are for the time you put into this site.
