The only problem I have with this forum is the people on it think that Vegas is the only game in town and that everything else stinks. If someone writes that FCP is a good piece of software or they like macs they get jumped on. Hey, it is all personal preference. I prefer pc's and Sony Vegas. But, I also use FCP, Media 100, Very little Avid, and linear Axial 3000.

Plus, there are no stupid questions. Sure, it might be stupid to you, but the poster doesn't know the answer, that is why they ask the question.

Fact: this forum is filled with VERY knowledgeable people and it is a great resource to all of us. I've been editing for several years and I learn something new every day and I appreciate that.

Let's not fudge it up or they will take it away, and I for one need it.

I'm a bit suprised the big F-911 thread is gone. I had been reading it. Although it was political, and at times, heated, it was also about a film and had some great dialouge in it. Now I wish I had posted in it and just said "hey this is a great discussion. Lots of disagreement but also lots of agreement and discussion about the production, etc."

This is Sony's forum for users of Sony's products. It is a place for Sony media software users to share ideas and help each other with problems. I don't want to sort through post expounding the virtues of FCP, Media 100, Avid, Pinn"acher" or and other editing systems. If I want information on the others, then I will go to those forums. I know Vegas is not a "perfect" program. I own and use Vegas. I think it is great. Far better than anything that I have used so far. I come to this forum to learn and increase my proficiency with Vegas. I know that there a lot of you that do use multiple systems. If that is what you need to do then fine, but please reserve this forum for Vegas and Vegas information. My 2 cents.
