Hey, I'm just randomly posting something about how excited I am to have a software called V8 :)

What are your ideas for Vegas 8 play on words, I mean we're all creative here, let's see what you can come up with. graphics welcome.

Dave

(Edit: to appease grazie)
I'm so excited, and I just can hide it... and I think, I think, I think, I think, I like it.

You HAVE? - Really?

Let me be the first to say that I hate V8. It's too salty.

But as far as the software goes, I suspect it won't have that problem. I guess I like software more than vegetable juice.

Ugh. I can't stand V8. Then again, vegetables are pretty much a foreign substance for my body anyway. Can't say i've consumed more than a pound of them in the last year, except for potatos. Not only do i hate veggies with a passion surpassing most folks understanding, but i'm becoming more and more allergic to most of them as i get older.

But, every now and then i get an enormous craving for a V8. I'll go to the convenience store and buy the biggest bottle they've got and down it ice cold in a few gulps ('cause i still really can't stand the taste). Ewwwww. Horrid stuff. But for some reason, a couple times a year my body just says, "gotta have a V8!"

On a more whistful note ... does anyone here still own and drive a V8? My commuting car is a 4 cylinder (9 years old and still gets 41MPG!), and my weekend runabout is a V6. I don't think i've had a V8 to use since i was still driving my parents' car.

Playing on words. How about:

V8--nothing turns your crank better--or fires all your cylinders faster--nothing covers all the angles jauntier--or gives you all the juice you'll ever need smoother--than V8--the straight goods for the non-linear! Get ready--set--go!

(The spaces in my silly attempt at a graphic collapsed upon posting. It'll have to stand as is.)

Correct me if I'm wrong but V8 will be the well-talked-about 64 bit version, won't it?

I'll be much more excited about the release of V7.0f and DVDA 4.0c.

Would be better to get the steering and brakes sorted before the engine swap.

I sure hope Vegas 8 isn't 64 bit only. There's no way i'l lbe moving to 64 bit architecture anytime soon.
FrigidNDEditing wrote on 6/22/2007, 11:24 PM
As far as the 64 bit goes, I don't think anyone knows if that's going to be 8 or a separate 64 bit version, or what? I never take anything for granted. All we really know is that they said that there is a 64 bit version of vegas coming down the pipeline. I don't think that there has been any official word calling that Vegas 8 or any official word saying that it would be 64 bit only. It just says that Vegas will not support 64 bit until the next major release. So it can be inferred but it's not been said outright that there will not be two versions or something where one is Vegas64 and one is Vegas 8, or something like that.

Dave

admitadly I've not been too up to date on all the announcements and I could be totally out of the loop on something or I may not have read a statement in its entirety. Please correct me or inform me if I'm not hip to the latest jive, Thx.

Remember, there is supposed to be a Vegas Movie Studio Platinum version 8 released in July... Whatever they add there in jumping a whole version ahead (from 7 to 8) might be a hint of what we can expect with Vegas. (VMSP 8 was announced, supporting AVCHD, when the update for Vegas with AVCHD was released.)
