Maybe this time you give first the right information about your hardware and settings which GPU your are using to start the program with and the Options/Preferences/ Video settings you have choosen?

Red screen instead of video? The last time I have seen it was a damaged codec.
I see it's an MTS. Probably I'd completely uninstall Vegas, and reinstall it. Then to make sure a clean state, I'd start Vegas pressing shift-ctrl (that resets all presets to default).
And see if that helps?

thanks, misery, wish I hadn't upgraded.....:( given Ive been here many times before on video editing tools with bugs, Ill wait before I expend my life doing re-installations),
- a pretty old Nvidia GPU with an old driver version that is possible to update to version 417.35 for maybe no faults in preview and - a nearly 9 old years processor without a GPU option. That means you are able to use (4 cores) Vpro 16 but you are not able to use the fast Magix NVENC or Intel QSV options for rendering with Magix AVC and maybe you can get better results not using the GPU for hardware acceleration.
