This is to those who own the deck already as well.....
Off the cuff, there are a couple of problems I'm having with this deck that may serve as a warning to those interested in purchasing it.
I have some Sony mini DV tapes that contain a telecined film transfer. This deck will not play them. JVC eludes that it's related to an issue that they found out about after shipping the unit. I can play Sony mini DVCam tapes with no problem.. Anyone else experiencing this?
As of the last 3 weeks, I am having problems with the deck playing the 24p flag from the DVX100 correctly. Vegas reads it as DV, yet the Panasonic camera shows 24p cadence and the look once captured is still unmistakingly 24p. Anyone else using this camera and deck together?
Anyway, if anyone needs a deck that performs really well aside from these two issue.. this one's for sale... not working for what I need it to do.
