JVC Compatibilty

I am looking for a DV deck around 1,500. Someone mentioned the JVC BR-DV300U. Is it compatible with Vegas? If not, any suggesstions?

I own this deck and would suggest the DSR-11 by Sony over any JVC deck at this time. I've had some problems with this deck working well with my Panasonic DVX100 and not reading the 24p flag correctly as it's sending the signal to Vegas Capture.

For $1500 - go Sony.
