No personal experience but I'd do some serious investigation, there seems to be a number of issues with this camera, at the very least I'd suggest factoring in the price of a better lens the standard lens it comes with.

Vegas cannot capture the native 24p stream yet, but if you use other capture tools such as HDV Rack and similar, you'll be able to capture via the tool, edit in Vegas, and output via that same caxpture utility.

Be sure to check on the widely reported major chroma artifacts in this camera, to make sure this is fixed before you buy.

Cineform Connect HD supports the HD100/101 in a good way. The material can be edited in Vegas too. Playback capabilities are much better, compared with 1080i intermediates.
