Whilst not a Vegas Video problem I was wondering whether any user has one of these MiniDV/SVHS recorders. I have just purchased one and I must admit I'm very impressed with the quality of the machine. However I have two points - they may be related.
Firstly when I connected them together, via firewire, my computer running Windows XP Pro picked up the JVC as an AVC Compliant DV Tape Recorder/Player also it found a AV/C Tuner which it couldn't find a driver for. I also wish to record via the firewire straight from the Tuner in the JVC unit.
Unfortunately Vegas Video wants to look at the DV tape only and I only get a small glimpse of the TV signal before the DV tape cuts in. Are these two problems related. I would have thought that if I had a driver for the AV/C Tuner then I could select this from the Video menu on the Video Capture page.

Has anybody got an answer to this problem? Ive looked on the JVC website and tried the Microsoft Update page all to no avail.
