Keyframe controller not available for Video Event FX

When I use an event FX like brightness and contrast, or whitebalance, the keyframe controller is not visible.  I have looked for the double line at the bottom as other posts have suggest - there's nothing there.  When I put crop in the chain, it appears - but only for crop.  All the other effects I've tried apply to the entire event, even if I put the cursor in the middle of the clip before adding the first effect.  So it's NOT just that the keyframe doesn't display - it doesn't seem to apply.  I just upgraded from version 10 to 13 so maybe something changed in the way this works - though the documentation says "The Keyframe Controller is displayed at the bottom of Video FX, Video Media Generators, and Transition dialogs" - not for me!  Attached screenshot

4K display, vegas platinum 13 advanced edit mode, Windows 10.

Does change if docked or not.   I've also tried Windows 8 compatibility, and I've tried disabling scaling on High DPI.

Did you click the clock icon for desired parameter before?

Also, do you have your windows text size set to greater than 100 %? Then you should try turn it back to 100 %. It looks like your GUI got wrong sized by this which in some cases could hide the keyframe control line.

Thanks - I didn't know about the "clock icon" (as I said I just upgraded from v10 to v13).  Interestingly I can't find ANY mention of it in the help, nor any mention with 3 hours of searching forums etc.  And my window size was such that it was hidden - though I'm not sure I would have figured it out.

On the topic of text size:

I use an HD display so the "normal" text size is 250%.  I have it set to 300%.

At 100% the text is literally less than 1mm on my screen so that is not an option.  I have attached a screenshot so you can see just how ridiculous that would be.  For fun - blow that picture up to full screen on you system and take a look!!!

I tried 200% which is still not usable but I know the interface well enough to try it.  It didn't help.

I was using Vegas Platinum 10 which did not have this problem.

Both versions seem to be really bad with HD display.  And they are getting to be very common.

Parts of buttons and text displays are cut off no matter what combination of settings I use.

In Version 10 keyframing worked differently and this may have affected the way the GUI was displayed in the FX windows.

So if you already clicked the clock icon to open the keyframing, then I would bet it is because of the text size used.  Anything above 100 % would screw some window contents. But I don't know a way to help then, sorry.

Clicking clock made the keyframes appear although as I said parts of buttons and text are cut off making it difficult.  I am most decidedly NOT having fun.  I am wondering whether I need to return to my old laptop for video editing - which defeats the purpose.

Do you know if version 14 is going to address HD displays? Amazing that such display oriented software can be so bad on good displays!  Hoping Magix takes more interest than Sony.

I don't have information about that.

I would send a request to Magix support for 4K display support.
