I noticed the other day when I was keyframeing a pan/crop of a sho,t it did something Ive never noticed before.
Here's the deal:
relativly static video shot,( I actually time streched the portion of one of my stock shots by 20%) stays full frame for about 1 second, then I added a key frame about 3 second later. That key frame was cropping the shot by keeping aspect ratio locked and just moving the left lower corner up diagonaly to do a small zoom (the upper right hand corner of the pan crop box stays at the corner of the frame.
Now here's what I noticed when I play back from the start of the clip.
If I'm watching the pan/crop box ,1/2 to 3/4 of the way to the second keyframe , the pan/crop box actually overshoots the upper right corner of the frame , then comes back down. I know that the upper right corner of the pan crop box didnt move when I placed the key frames. I tried setting the keyframes to smooth, as well as a couple other like fast and slow but it still does it. And you notice it in the movement when veiwing on a tv monitor, both in the movement as well as seeing a black edge in the right corner as it moves the box outa frame then comes back.
Hope I'm explianing this so you guys understand, if not I'll post an example.
